Positive self-talk for anger!!

Positive self-talk is something you say to yourself whenever you're feeling angry or upset. It should be something that helps you calm down so that you can make a positive choice. Read the statements below and see which one of these you could use the next time you feel angry. In the empty spaces below think of some of your own positive self-talk for anger.

1.     This won't last forever. What can I do to stop feeling this way?

2.     It is a big deal to me, but I don't want to do anything to make things worse.

3.     Is this person or situation worth getting in trouble for?

4.     What's the best way for me to let this person know how I'm feeling?

5.     What I want to happen isn't happening, and that's OK.
